Epic waves…God sized adventures

Some of the most prolific waves in the world happen to be amongst the worlds most un-reached.  We use surfing as a means for missions to nations where an exploding surf culture coincides with the poor and least reached of our world. 

We believe that God has given us a passion for surfing and the surf culture so that we can enjoy using it to share His love with the world.  The Surfers DTS is for people who have some experience and who love the surf culture.  If that’s you, then this is the DTS for you!

The Surfers DTS is divided into 2 parts:

Part 1 – lecture phase

Spent living in a full on discipleship community located just a stones throw from the beach. Make new friends and learn about God together with young people from all over the world who are also passionately seeking God's heart. Each week we have guest speakers who come from dynamic ministries to share awesome truths - covering topics like: Hearing God's voice, The Father Heart of God, Relationships, Spiritual Warfare, and World Missions. 

Of course we will spend a lot of time in the surf!  We will be involved in local surf outreaches, grommets groups, preparing to use skills on outreach, and surfing recreationally.

Part 2 – outreach phase

In the past years teams have impacted some of the worlds most remote surf missions destinations such as; Indonesian Islands (Nias, Bali, Rote), Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Fiji, Papa New Guinea, and Japan – and in the future we are looking to add other world class destinations.  On outreach, you will be stretched to “live out” the principles learned during the lecture phase.  Team dynamics come alive as people share their gifts, talents, and lives in ministry opportunities. Outreach is a great opportunity to create friendships with others while having an eternal impact. It is also a great way to test your call to world missions.
