Epic waves…God sized adventures

Everywhere there are waves there are surfers to be reached. God has given us passions and gifts to reach an exploding surf culture on the Sunshine Coast and the world. A Surfers DTS is for surfers who want to see the surf culture redeemed and turned around for God. As Christian surfers we have an opportunity and a responsibility to be a light in a dark culture.

The Surfers DTS is divided into 2 parts:

Part 1 – lecture phase

The Surfers DTS house is purposefully located in a small surfing community. Our vision is that as surfers we will have an instant connection to the community and we will be able to make a consistent impact through surfing and local evangelism. Each week during the lecture phase we have guest speakers who come from dynamic ministries to share awesome truths, covering topics like: Hearing God's voice, The Father Heart of God, Relationships, Spiritual Warfare, and World Missions. The lecture phase also consists of living in community, worship, intercession, waiting on the Lord, small groups, and one-on-one discipleship.

Part 2 – outreach phase

As a base we have a heart and a vision for the nation of Indonesia. We are currently working on a vision called the Three Islands Project. The heart is to pioneer training centres on 3 strategic Indonesia Islands for the purpose of mobilizing and supporting local believers in evangelism, church planting, and mercy ministries to un-reached people. Two of these locations have some of the best waves in the world and are also the most un-reached. On outreach, you will be stretched to “live out” the principles learned during the lecture phase. Learning new cultures, languages, and meeting new people will open your eyes and your heart for the nations. You will be given an opportunity to share your faith, to disciple believers and to serve long term ministries. This will also give you an opportunity to test your calling to missions and full time ministry.
